Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates must 1) have a Ph.D. degree from an accredited institution in a life sciences discipline; 2) have demonstrated interest in research in teaching and learning of biology at the undergraduate level; 3) provide evidence of ability to teach at the undergraduate level; and, 4) have strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to work/collaborate with others.
Preferred Requirements:
Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated 1) interest in STEM education research at the undergraduate level; 2) ability to collaborate on interdisciplinary projects; 3) experience in dealing with complex datasets and use of multivariate statistics; and, 4) experience with relational databases and use of web-based technology.

Job Description:
The Department of Biological Sciences at North Dakota State University has a 9-month, postdoctoral fellowship, beginning 16 August 2012. The successful candidate will work with a faculty member in the department of biological sciences (see www.ndsu.edu/biology/people/faculty for potential faculty mentors). In addition to working with project personnel, the postdoctoral fellow will mentor undergraduate assistants, teach one undergraduate course. Salary is competitive, and the appointment can be extended contingent on funding.
