Job Description:
OBJECTIVE
Responsible for testing and making necessary adjustments to maintain integrity of the paint, pre-treat and waste water systems, and directing of paintline personnel on an assigned shift.
RESPONSIBILITY
Department Administration: Schedule the assigned manpower and equipment to meet production needs. Keep department costs within budgetary limits. Maintain good housekeeping and safe working conditions within department. Coordinate efforts with all department supervisors to achieve company objectives. Arrange for the maintenance of all equipment and facilities in assigned department.
Personnel Management: Train new employees that transfer into assigned department. Perform other such related or similar duties as may be assigned. Administer and interpret company's policies and enforce rules and regulations. Involvement in Grievance Procedure.
Continuous Improvement: Provide quality & cost improvement ideas and data to reduce cost and improve quality. Perform quality tests on paint to optimize performance and quality.
Paintline Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Will be expected to clear all conveyors and paint related problems through systemic troubleshooting and problem solving to minimize impact on other departments. Keep pre-treatment system running within optimal efficiencies. Maintain waste water discharge to comply with state and local regulations. Prepare and maintain reports and record required for EPA reporting.
