Minimum Qualifications:
Requires an associate degree with major coursework in office support or business or office education and one year of current and progressive work experience performing a variety of office support, clerical, or secretarial work. Additional work experience performing office support, clerical, or secretarial duties may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.


Job Description:
Summary of Work:
Individual will be responsible for providing administrative support services in a large, fast-paced technology organization of 300+ people. This position is an entry level, front end administrative assistant. Some of the major duties include: greeting customers, answering / routing telephones, operating personal computers, AV equipment, printers, photocopiers and fax machines, writing correspondence, newsletters, reports and posting information to websites, editing documents, planning meetings and conferences, electronic and hardcopy information/records management activities, maintaining a neat, organized office environment, efficient filing procedures.

Due to being a front-end position that must greet and assist all internal and external customers, interpersonal and customer service skills are vital. Individual must be able to work independently, while at the same time work well in a team environment as a member of a 6 person administrative support team. The successful applicant must be extremely organized, skilled at multi-tasking and able to balance multiple and often times conflicting priorities (time management), be a fast learner, dependable, flexible and demonstrate a good work ethic. The individual must possess good problem solving and decision making abilities. The individual must be pleasant to work with, approachable, and understand what is meant by creating a positive customer experience in a large, fast paced office environment.

The successful applicant must also possess strong English grammar skills as he/she will be required to edit and/or write various forms of communication. Thus, sound communication skills are very important. In addition, efficient computer skills in the Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and a desire for growth and the challenges that come with working in a large, and changing technology department would also be essential.
