Job Description: Diesel Engine Technician-In Shop Minot, North DakotaKey Responsibilities • Troubleshoot failures, diagnose, repair, and rebuild Cummins engines • Remove and install engines in equipment chassis • Remove and install components on engines, in and out of chassis • Rebuild engine components • Perform maintenance and repairs on truck chassis • Document the work performed • Perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner • Maintain on-going training requirements • Critical Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities by Dimension: Functional/Technical • Experience and/or education in repair of diesel engines • Knowledge and understanding of engine theory and operation • Able to use a computer and programs such as Quick Serve On-line and INSITE • Able to read instructions • Have own tools and toolbox • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required (CDL preferred) • Effective communication skills (written/verbal) • Excellent customer support skills • Able to develop/maintain effective working relationships
Physical Requirements • Able to lift 25-100lbs (using proper lifting techniques and tools) • Work will be performed indoors, with occasional outside work • Bend, stretch, stand, kneel, twist and climb on equipment for extended periods of time
