Job Description:
Spherion Staffing has multiple CNC Machine Operator positions available on day shift.
CNC Set up/Operators use CNC machines (lathes and mills) to produce precision metal parts as specified by the work order, job specifications, and blueprints.
The position performs all levels of set-ups, creates simple programs manually or using software, and prepares minor fixture designs for CNC lathes and mills

Pay: $20-22/hour DOE
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:00am-3:30pm (avg 10 hours per week of overtime)


• Review, interpret and follow blueprints, work orders and prototypes to determine and write simple programs and set-up sheets.
• Identify the parts and materials required and select the appropriate machine and tools required for production
• Locate and organize required materials, tools and machinery
• Set-up and adjust machine to drawing specifications and set-up sheets and input tool length specifications
• Perform offset adjustments, minor program editing, and monitor insert wear
• Operate machinery, tools, and CNC equipment to produce precision metal parts according to job specifications
• Check and measure quality of each part against blueprints and set-up sheets
• Place completed parts in appropriate containers for delivery to other departments for the next stage in processing
• Track and record rejected parts, time cycles and production levels, and tool control
• Review and tag completed work to ensure parts and instruments meet company and customer quality requirements in accordance with ISO 9001


• High School diploma or GED
• Must have 4 or more years of prior work experience working with CNC mills and lathes, programming, and set-ups
• Exhibit good attention to detail to identify and understand detailed job requirements and ensure job specifications are followed precisely
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must have the ability to accurately count and calculate required materials, measures, and dimensions. Advanced CNC Set-up/Operators must be able to perform trigonometry calculations
• Drug screen is required

PPE: Safety glasses are provided, employee must provide steel-toe boots and welding gear
