Provide administrative office support to the NDSU Extension 4-H program, staff and related entities. This includes Center for 4-H Youth Development staff and adult volunteers supporting the program. Major duties of the position relate to managing databases, fund accounting utilizing PeopleSoft and other proprietary bookkeeping software, event/meeting coordination, preparing correspondence, reports and other forms of communication related to 4-H. The fund accounting responsibilities also include grants and contracts held by the department and related entities.
High School Diploma or the equivalent
Two years related experience in an office environment
Experience relevant to the role of the position
Proficient use of MS Office Suite, Adobe and the internet
Ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position, occasional travel.
Ability to work flexible hours on occasion which may include evenings and/or weekends, as appropriate.
Reliable and organized, strong attention to detail and accuracy
Self-motivated; ability to prioritize work
Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and in a team environment
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
Ability to adapt to changing needs
Valid driver’s license
Experience with PeopleSoft (Finance and HRMS)
Experience with proprietary software bookkeeping like Great Plains/Microsoft, QuickBooks, etc.
Online, web-site and other web-based data managerial experience
Knowledge of Extension
