Job Description:
TITLE: One-Stop Assistant

SUMMARY OF POSITION: The purpose and function of this position is to provide assistance and information to students regarding any and all student services.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: This position reports to the Associate Provost & Dean of Instruction

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate Degree in office administration or related field
Knowledge and experience using computers and application software (word processing, spreadsheets and database management), and comfort with changing technologies
Skills working with phones, printers, copy machines, and fax machines
Good interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively
Ability to engage with others in a positive outgoing manner

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in related field
One (1) year of office experience

COMPENSATION: Includes a salary of $29,000 - $34,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience. And a comprehensive fringe benefit package, including employer-paid full-family coverage health insurance, NDPERS retirement, tuition waiver benefits and much more.

STARTING DATE: As soon as possible

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Greet students, faculty, staff, administrators, and/or constituents with a positive outgoing attitude. Answer questions and/or direct them to appropriate individual(s).
Answer the Office telephone, attempt to answer questions; when unable, relay information or transfer calls to appropriate individual(s)
Maintain the One-Stop website, updating procedures and enhancing the student experience on the site for effectiveness and increased efficiency
Work with all departments as needed as a team player
Assist with routing forms to proper offices for timely processing (e.g. grade appeals, Satisfactory Academic Progress suspensions, advisor changes, withdrawals, etc.)
Process forms when submitted
Properly utilize necessary software (i.e. Blackboard, Campus Connection, Imaging Software, Legacy System, National Student Clearinghouse, Perceptive Content, etc.)
Provide training to students on the use of software, when appropriate
Create and provide help sheets/guides for students if they want to complete the process/procedure on their own, when applicable
Maintaining FAQ’s and provide feedback to the supervisor if a pattern is observed, provide possible solutions if issues are discovered, and do your best to make the experience great for the student/faculty/staff/administrator and/or constituent
Perform other office duties as assigned
