TITLE: Assistant Director, Financial Aid
SUMMARY OF POSITION: This position assists in all federal, state and institutional financial aid programs according to the established policies and procedures of each financial aid program. Assists in updating all policies, procedures and forms needed to administer each financial aid program administered by the institution.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: This position reports to the Director, Financial Aid
• Bachelors Degree in accounting, business administration or related field
• Organizational and prioritization abilities
• Interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Customer service skill; detail oriented work style
• Competencies in Word and Excel
• Experience in Financial Aid
• Public Speaking Skills
• Supervisory experience
COMPENSATION: Includes a salary of $35,000 - $42,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience. And a comprehensive fringe benefit package, including employer-paid full-family coverage health insurance, TIAA retirement, tuition waiver benefits and much more.

STARTING DATE: As soon as possible
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Monitor federal aid programs
• Supervise the private loan processing
• COD processing and balancing of accounts
• Administrating the Institutional and State Aid programs
• Assist Director in compliance with federal regulations and institutional policies and procedures with various office processes and functions
• Assist Director with Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
• Assist Director in the awarding of federal, state and institutional funds
• Assist with interpreting, applying and communicating policies, procedures and regulations with students, families, staff and faculty
• Assist in updating all policies and procedures
• Assisting with staff training
• Supervise Student Employees
• Other duties as assigned
