Job Description:
Our client, a local manufacturing company has a need for a long term temporary 1st shift Electronics Testing Technician. This position will perform electrical/ mechanical testing, design validation, and verification of electronic or electro-mechanical equipment and products.
Qualified candidates should have an A.S. in Electronics or a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification or equivalent experience and a minimum of one year of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering
Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm
Pay $21-22/hour DOE
Assignment length now through Aug 2019
Responsibilities:
• Perform intermediate validation testing on prototypes and existing products
• Work with Engineering to understand and apply defined test requirements
• Troubleshoot defective lab equipment and provide required maintenance as needed Build intermediate test harnesses, loads, and circuit boards to support product verification as required
• Document and maintain records relating to work performed
• Inform supervisor of process, test, or design problems and assist in the corrective action
• Assemble (mechanical/electrical) fixtures and test setups as required. This will require performing intermediate design functions
• Perform inspection, test, and failure analysis as necessary to determine cause of defective tests or assemblies
• Conduct functional test of electronic circuits and PCBs according to engineering instructions
• Create test documentation when required for prototype products
• Design basic engineering test boxes

• A.S. in Electronics or a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification or equivalent experience
• Minimum of one year of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering
• Hands-on SMT soldering experience
• Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, and word processing
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic components
• Knowledge of test equipment, e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc
• Understanding of trouble shooting methodologies to identify root cause
• Ability to read basic engineering documents
• Ability to comprehend product/process component datasheets
• Ability to assemble and disassemble products
• Looking for candidates that can troubleshoot boards down to the component level
