Job Description:
Spherion Staffing is looking for a Project Manager to work with a local industrial client. The Project Manager will be responsible for directing, planning and managing projects to be completed ahead of schedule, within budget and in compliance with Company safety, policies and procedures. Qualified candidates should have a BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering and five years of industry experience and knowledge of estimating and construction management.


Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm
Pay: $18-24/hour DOE

Responsibilities:
• Develop construction documents
• Identify and coordinate the submittals of all documents
• Review construction documents to ensure compliance with customer's contract
• Initiate, review and obtain customer's approval on construction documents
• Quote all change orders and customer's request for extras
• Identify, research and resolve all contract disputes with the customer
• Establish delivery dates for all materials in accordance with the schedule
• Manage and resolve all conflicts
• Review the project and determine acceptability of completed work on an on-going basis
• Establish and maintain job cost control
• Maintain extra work authorization log, identifying items and their resolutions


Requirements:
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Five years of industry experience and knowledge of estimating and construction management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret blueprints, professional journals, technical procedures, contracts or governmental regulations
• Must be able to write reports, business correspondence and document project activities
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from project managers, supervisors, clients, customers and the general public
• Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups and/or boards of directors
• Must be able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
• Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations
