Job Description:

The purpose of this position is to develop, implement, deliver, and monitor the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) initiatives, educational opportunities, and events across all ND EPSCoR’s statewide programs; including:
Collaborating with ND EPSCoR’s stakeholders [including those within the Nurturing American Tribal Undergraduate Research Experience program (NATURE)] in education and the community to organize and promote interdisciplinary STEM activities that are outlined in or aligned with program-specific content area standards of ND EPSCoR’s awards and state office initiatives.
Implementing, overseeing, and reporting on the required elements ND EPSCoR federal cooperative agreements and awards and state office-initiated activities. In addition, the STEM Manager is responsible for outreach to statewide community organizations, schools, and businesses to provide enhanced, experiential learning opportunities for all students.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics
• Five or more years classroom teaching experience in STEM related areas
Demonstrated knowledge of:
• Current theories, techniques and methodologies of STEM used in the development of K-12 STEM modules
• Challenges typically associated with student performance in STEM disciplines and various techniques for overcoming them
• Technology integration
Evidence of:
• Ability to analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action
• Effective communication (both oral and written) to a variety of audiences
• Commitment and sensitivity to affirmative action, equal opportunity and human rights
• Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner
• Ability to self-prioritize competing projects with multiple deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong technology experience and skills:
• Demonstrated high proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Presentation skills
• Social media skills

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree
• Experience in career and technical education
• Administrative experience
• Familiarity with grant coordination/ implementation
• Teaching certification
• Job development/community outreach experience
Strong technology experience and skills:
• Demonstrated proficiency in Qualtics survey product
