Are you looking for an accounting position? If so, Agri-cover, Inc., an aftermarket automotive manufacturer is looking for a full-time Accounting Manager in our Jamestown, ND location.
Directs financial activities of an organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Establishes, or recommends to management, major corporate economic strategies, objectives, and policies for company.
Recommends modifications to existing corporate programs.
Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations; including but not limited to invoices, AP check runs, sales and margin reports, bank statements and reconciliations.
Analyzes manufacturing orders for variances.
Directs preparation of budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.
Advises management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities.
Provides management with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress in its various programs and activities.
Directs determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets.
Advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions. Coordinates tax form preparation and filings.
Coordinates annual audit of company's accounts.
Organizes and processes year end activities, including but not limited to invoicing and closing out the year.
Analyzes and tracks cost savings as part of company's continuous improvement program.
Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
Establishes relations with banks and other financial institutions.
Enter and maintain product pricing into respective software.
Ensures accuracy of data in Great Plains System.
Creates and formats accounts, fiscal periods, and various entries in accounting software.
Establishes and maintains "standard" production costs.
Monitors and coordinates inventory activities, including periodic cycle counts and annual projections.
Establish and maintain research and development cost tracking strategy.
Monitors cash balances for optimum return and safety.
Responsible for all banking transactions including ACH's, wire transfers, reconciliations, and posting information to the general ledger.
Maintains relations with company attorney.
Documents and records all activity on related party entities.
Oversees all aspects of quality assurance related to the department including industry best practices and developing new tools and processes to ensure department quality goals are met.
Establishes, implements, and monitors international shipment documentation compliance (NAFTA).
Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA certification preferred.
