This position will be a nine-month, non-tenure-track Professor of Practice in the School of Education with a primary focus on K-12 Educational Leadership to begin January 1, 2020 or as negotiated. Our ideal colleague will be committed to advancing our dynamic and growing Educational Leadership programs – including an innovative Leadership Academy model, possess strong leadership experience in K-12 education to complement the existing faculty in our Educational Leadership programs, inspire and challenge future leaders so they may meet the evolving demands of educational leadership, contribute meaningfully to department governance, and foster a collaborative community across the School of Education.

The School of Education is seeking colleagues committed to student success with the following required qualifications:
• Earned doctorate (completed by the time of employment) in Educational Leadership, Educational Administration, or a closely related field;
• Evidence of effective oral and written communications skills;
• Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with diverse colleagues, students, administrators, and the public; and
• Experience in a US K-12 educational leadership position at the building, district, regional, or state level.
The following qualifications are preferred:
• Evidence of providing high-quality instruction, advising, and mentoring at the at the College/University level;
• The ability to diversify program area faculty in a way that prioritizes, values, and celebrates diversity in all forms and ensure a sense of belonging, respect, and inclusion that supports the success of each member of the community;
• Evidence of the potential for developing or advancing a research agenda in an area relevant to K-12 Educational Leadership as appropriate to non-tenure-track faculty.
