This position is responsible for the development of the strategic vision and daily operations of Career Services. The Director will develop data and goal driven programming, oversee university internship programs and prior learning assessments, develop strategic plans, manage the department budget, provide comprehensive career counseling, and implement multiple experiential education programs such as job shadowing and mentoring. The successful candidate will facilitate and strengthen employer relations, work with current career topic challenges, design and deliver communications and marketing, assess community workforce needs, and provide exemplary customer service. In addition, the Director will plan and implement college events such as job fairs, seminars and workshops, teach job search skills in several portfolio classes, assist with students deciding their major or career path, work with current students, alumni and the community, assist with the placement of students in part-time and permanent employment, and maintain an active process to ensure quality job opportunities are available for students and graduates.

Requires a Bachelor's degree, five years of related work experience, experience developing programs or initiatives, and demonstrated ability to develop relationships with businesses and/or nonprofit entities. Successful candidate must have a high-level ability to communicate (oral and written) to a broad and varied audience, demonstrated ability to interact and serve individuals from diverse backgrounds, and possess a valid driver's license.
Master’s degree in Counseling, College Student Personnel, Student Affairs, Educational Leadership or related field; demonstrated knowledge of competencies in career development theory, individual and group counseling skills, assessment, program management and implementation, consultation, and supervision; demonstrated ability to collect, organize, and report data; experience creating, writing, and delivering career development materials, presentations and workshops; and knowledge of the emerging trends in undergraduate career development programming are preferred.
