NDSU is a dynamic university on the move. As a land grant university, research, teaching, service, and community outreach are valued as contributing to the development of the region. Enrollment of over 12,000 represents one of the largest universities in the upper Midwest. Research productivity remains above the average for comparable colleges in the region. The sports programs are NCAA Division I level. NDSU partners with several companies to provide learning and research possibilities for both students and faculty and supports an on-campus research park.

The College of Business, which is AASCB accredited, strongly supports both research and teaching. Research resources include Capital IQ, Audit Analytics, CRSP (with Eventus), and a fully equipped Bloomberg trading room along with travel funds for presentations. Fund-raising for the college has set records each year for the past several years. Teaching resources include graduate assistants and peer evaluation programs. First-year teaching load is 2-2 with subsequent teaching loads of 3-2. The accounting faculty is research active and has recently published in several A and B rated journals on the ABDC list.

The Fargo-Moorhead metropolitan area, the home of NDSU, Concordia College, and Minnesota State University Moorhead, is a vibrant community located at the cross-roads of I-94 and I-29 and has a population of over 220,000. It boasts a thriving economy, excellent quality of life, admirable primary and secondary schools, convenient airport with great travel connections, and a low cost of living. The community and area colleges offer a wide variety of cultural events including opera, orchestra and local, live theatre. Fargo is also a regular stop for many national touring music and theatre acts. Many outdoor activities – hunting, fishing, or spending time in the Minnesota lake country – are available, too.
To apply, submit cover letter; vita; sample teaching evaluations; sample of research; and names, e-mail addresses, and phone numbers of three references electronically through https://jobs.ndsu.edu.
