Job Description:
DUTIES:

Technical Duties – 95%
1.Utilizes Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager environment to create and modify computer images for employees and student computer labs. Creates and modifies documentation for software package creation and necessary documentation for computer labs and images.
2.Installs, configures, and provides support for operating systems and software applications. Conducts research and testing, downloads and installs software updates and patches as necessary.
3.Installs and administers antivirus and antimalware endpoint security for Microsoft and Macintosh computers.
4.Participates in project implementation, documentation, and steps to complete projects as assigned.
5.Provides Help Desk backup assistance in addition to advanced level of technology support for software installation, hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
6.Maintains a high level of professional competence (e.g. investigates new software, technology trends and stays up to date with security and virus developments). Assists in the management of resources.

Miscellaneous Duties – 5%
7.Supports innovation, creativity and ideas to improve/enhance processes, functions, etc. in the department and as a whole for the college.
8.Performs other duties as required or assigned.


Requirements:
Required Competencies:


1.An appropriate bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, computer science or related field; or appropriate associate degree and four years of experience.
2.Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office products including configuring, updating and troubleshooting. Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
3.Demonstrated extensive knowledge of networking and data communication concepts, computer hardware and peripherals, LAN equipment and troubleshooting
4.Excellent communication skills and working with others, (oral, written, interpersonal). Ability to understand and carry out complex written and verbal instructions.
5.Excellent customer service skills and the ability to relate to people of varying ages, backgrounds and technical abilities.
6.Ability to work under pressure on a variety of projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

1.Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, or VMWare.
2.Knowledge of Macintosh operating system and hardware.
