Job Description:
Seeking a post-doctoral research fellow with demonstrated experience in manuscript publication, genomic prediction, large data management, statistics, and classical plant breeding. Responsibilities to include: 1) Genomic prediction and model enhancement for agronomic, disease, and quality data 2) Manuscript preparation for ongoing and previously completed projects in the breeding program 3) Program data collection in the field and greenhouse 4) Graduate student mentorship. This person will develop and maintain a collegial relationship with the wheat breeding staff and in the Department of Plant Sciences. Continued employment contingent upon satisfactory job performance and funding.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
•Ph.D. in plant breeding and genetics
•Previous experience in small grains breeding
•Demonstrated experience with genomic prediction
•Demonstrated publication record in breeding and genetics research
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Ability to work in a team oriented environment
•Ability to perform all field and greenhouse activities
•Have or ability to receive a valid drivers license

Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience with small grains disease screening
•Experience or familiarity with wheat milling and baking quality
