Policy and Partnership Manager

Community HealthCare Association of the Dakotas (CHAD) is seeking a full-time Policy and Partnership Manager. Ability to work from our Bismarck, ND office is preferred.

ABOUT CHAD

CHAD is a non-profit membership organization that supports North Dakota and South Dakota community health centers (CHCs) in their mission to provide access to health care for all Dakotans regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. CHAD works with health center members and other community leaders and partners to enhance access to affordable, high-quality health care and to find solutions for expanding health care services in areas of the Dakotas that need it most.

For more than 30 years, CHAD has advanced the efforts of CHC's in 62 delivery sites in 51 communities across North Dakota and South Dakota through training, technical assistance, education and advocacy. A patient population should never compromise the quality of their care because of geography. CHAD works diligently with health center members and other health care partners to enhance access to care and expand service offerings to foster healthy families and healthy communities across the Dakotas.

POLICY AND PARTNERSHIP MANAGER POSITION

It is the goal of our Policy and Partnership Manager to advance the interests of our community health center members at the state and federal level through policy engagement and the development of strategic partnerships. This position will consistently promote systemic change in support of our vision of "Access to a high quality system of health care for all Dakotans."

Our Policy and Partnership Manager is responsible for the development of policy positions in collaboration with our CHAD members, for representing CHAD in meetings with state officials and other partners, and for working in collaboration with the communications team on all policy and advocacy communications for our newsletter, social media channels, and communication with legislators and other public officials.

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Communications, Public Health, Political Science or related field. Masters in Public Policy or Public Health preferred.
3 or more years of relevant experience in policy, advocacy and grants experience.
Experience working in health care, government, or public policy environment.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and develop public policy proposals.
Prefer experience in working with communication plans via social media platforms and email campaigns.
Must have knowledge and understanding of planning, implementing and evaluating projects.
Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
Must have strong organizational skill and the ability to clearly define priorities, coordinate activities and work independently.
Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
