Position Description & Details:
Manage the NCREC foundation seed increase program. Supervise the new seed conditioning facility in order to produce high-quality, genetically pure foundation seed. Manage the NCREC land base using sound agronomics. Comply with all state and federal laws and certification regulations.
The North Central Research Extension Center is one of seven out-state NDSU research extension centers and one of four RECs with specific objective of producing foundation seed. The center is located one mile south of Minot, a city of 45,000 in north central North Dakota. Minot is an All-American City with excellent health, educational, recreational, and community facilities and a modern international airport. Planning, planting, managing, and harvesting foundation seed production fields
Oversee the operation of a new seed conditioning facility
Operation and maintenance of farm equipment

*Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Ag Systems Management, Ag Economics, or related
*Knowledge of foundation, registered, and certified seed production
*Knowledge of farming operations
*Knowledge of ND agriculture
*Farm equipment operation and maintenance experience
*Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
*Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of personalities
*Prior seed production experience
*CDL or ability to obtain
*ND Commercial Pesticide Applicator license or ability to obtain
