Job Description:
Emphasis on installation and maintenance of mobile radios, radio base stations and repeaters, and other types of RF communication equipment; including LTR radio, paging, SCADA and Microwave; used by the company in accordance with FCC regulations and accepted manufacturer's and industry standards. Consult with and recommend radio communication solutions to area managers. Responsibility involves the operation of a communications system in a designated geographical area. Other responsibilities can include working with company departments to interface systems with new and existing equipment, i.e. Data and SCADA hardware, Mobile Work Force, fiber optics, AMR etc. Assists in the maintenance of other electronic systems as required. Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day to day work routine for self and others.

Minimum Qualifications:
Level I: Must possess a working knowledge of electronics and communication systems normally acquired through the completion of a two-year degree in electronics or communications.

Level II: Must meet Level I requirements and four years of increasing responsibility with electronics or communications.
Preferred Qualifications
•FCC General Radio Telephone Certificate or NABER license.
•Prior experience in a two way radio service shop or experience in radio communications.
•Certification/training in electronic repair, network/communications cabling systems, or the handling and splicing of fiber optic cabling systems.
Key Skills & Competencies
•Familiarity with electric utility power systems.
•Strong analytical skills and proven troubleshooting expertise.
•Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
•Proficient in the use of Microsoft Operating system.
•Understanding of safety needs and requirements for the various environments encountered on the job
