Position Description & Details:
The College of Science and Math Business Center is comprised of a team of staff who work closely together to oversee all budget, accounting, and HR/Payroll functions for the eight departments of the College. This position provides budget management and oversight to one department. This position serves as a source of policy and procedural knowledge; therefore, problem solving and strong attention to detail are essential to this role. In addition, the ability to communicate effectively, to be flexible, and exhibit a positive and professional attitude directly contributes to the success of the entire team.

*Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience
*Demonstrated ability to problem solve and to work independently
*Attention to detail
*Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office – specifically Microsoft Excel
*2-3 years of accounting experience
*Effective written and verbal communication skills
*Ability to contribute to a professional and team work environment in a positive and flexible manner
*Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment
*Ability to communicate and work well with people of diverse populations
*Bachelor’s Degree, Accounting or Business Administration preferred but not required
*Experience with PeopleSoft HRMS and Finance modules, or equivalent
*Knowledge of organizational policies related to accounting, purchasing and human resources
*Experience managing budgets
*1-2 years of experience working with HR/Payroll tasks and situations
