Job Description:
Position Description and Details

The Challey School of Music at North Dakota State University seeks a full-time professor of practice who will teach composition, teach in the music theory/music history sequence, contribute to methods courses in double reeds, teach and articulate with other areas of NDSU in entrepreneurship initiatives, and contribute technical and supervisory expertise for hardware and software technology and recording applications and their deployment throughout the Division of Performing Arts. The position is nine-month, offering full benefits. Start date: August 16, 2021.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate in Music Composition
At least three years teaching experience in higher education in Music Composition
Experience in entrepreneurship studies
Academic qualifications for teaching in areas related to position description
Demonstrated ability to contribute to a collegial and mutually supportive environment
Effective oral and written communication skills
