Job Description:

Position Description & Details:
The Administrative Coordinator oversees and administers the support for financial compliance and management, including day-to-day transaction tracking, A/P’s processing and payment, and monthly reconciliation. Processes payroll paperwork for all ECE employees, and monitors and reconciles payroll budget to ensure sufficient funding. This position develops, implements, and monitors procedures and systems that provide productive and efficient operations while ensuring the department is in compliance with university and college administrative policies and procedures.The position interacts with administration and other departments for the Chair and faculty on department operations. Provide administrative clerical assistance on department and University policies to faculty and students. Perform word processing, letter composition, filing, typing forms, etc. Receive telephone calls and visitors and refer appropriately according to nature of inquiry. Maintain files on the following faculty/staff personnel, all research grants, on and off campus correspondence, departmental procedures, etc.

*Provide exceptional service to department faculty, staff, students, and guests through a professional and team-driven environment.
*Develop and manage procedures for departmental budgetary planning.
*Perform departmental administrative activities and support to the Chair and ECE Faculty.
*Process payroll paperwork and maintain payroll budgets.
*Work safely and supervise safe operation of unit.

Work Schedule:
Monday thru Friday, 8am-5pm

Minimum Qualifications:
*Associates degree in Business, Accounting, managment or related field or the equivalent experience.  
*3+ years office experience. 
*Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. 
*Proficient computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Microsoft Office)
*Familiarity of office equipment.
*Strong customer service orientation.
*Excellent prioritization and organizational skills. 
*Ability to prioritize duties and respond promptly to technical requests or ability to independently research and compile data.
*Ability to independently research a wide array of subjects.
*Ability to work collaboratively in an office environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
*Bookkeeping/accounting experience;
*Database support experience;
*Website support experience or knowledge
*Previous university related work experience and/or PeopleSoft is preferred
*Supervisory experience.
