Job Description:
Agri-Cover, Inc., an aftermarket automotive manufacturer is looking for a full-time, onsite Purchasing Assistant in our Jamestown, ND location.

Relieves officials of clerical work and minor administrative and business detail by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain UPC Code master log, issue new UPC codes and updates Operating System as needed.

Maintains in-bound freight vendor bar code requirements.

Maintain in-bound freight log with load weights for metal and fabric.

Review UPS invoices for Guaranteed Service Refund (GSR) due to Agri-Cover.

Assists marketing and accounting in receiving as needed.

Backup for Agri-Covers Purchasing Agent. Enters all purchase orders in his absence.

Evaluates and prepares reports on freight costs and performance of all carriers utilized by ACI.

Prepares, submits, and negotiates freight claims.

Determines method of shipment and schedules for inbound freight for non-part numbered material.

Corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages shipped to customer.

Arranges and coordinates travel schedules and reservations.

Conducts research, and compiles and types statistical reports.

Coordinates and arranges meetings, prepares agenda, reserves and prepares facilities.

Maintain updated Certificate of Insurance, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA's), Dunn & Bradstreet (D & B's) reports for vendors; offers information on commercial credit and reports on businesses.

Maintain USMCA Certificates as requested; determines country of origin and harmonized tariff codes.

Proofs all Canadian paperwork.
Research and assist accounting with problem invoices.

Monitors dock dates and schedules arrangements as required for open purchase orders.

Prepares vendor purchase orders for powder coating, zinc finishing, drop ship mounts, plastic parts, fabric, aluminum and boxes.

Maintain Importer of Record binder for all imports associated with ACI's tax ID number.

Implements improvements.

Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
