Position Description & Details:

The College of Business at North Dakota State University seeks applications for a full-time (non-tenure track) assistant professor of practice in the department of Transportation, Logistics, and Finance.

Responsibilities:

Teach courses in supply chain management, management information systems, and business analytics. The teaching load is six three-credit courses per academic year. Four courses (12 credits) are expected to be taught in the area of supply chain management and two courses (6 credits) are expected to be taught in the areas of management information systems and/or business analytics. The position also has expectations for academic research to maintain scholarly academic status as required by NDSU College of Business faculty qualification standards. In addition, the position has service expectations which include engaging with external industry stakeholders in the areas of supply chain management and business analytics.

Work Schedule:

9 month position - 8/16-5/15

40 hours / week

Advertised Salary:

$70,000 annually

Minimum Qualifications:

- PhD or other advanced degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Transportation, Logistics, or a related discipline
- Ability to teach courses in supply chain management, management information systems, and business analytics, including courses using SAP
- Meet scholarly academic faculty qualification standards for accreditation
- Ability to engage effectively with external industry stakeholders in the areas of supply chain management and business analytics
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment

Preferred Qualifications:

- Record of quality teaching in supply chain management, business analytics, and/or management information systems
- Record of quality research in supply chain management
- Proficient in SAP, experience incorporating SAP in teaching, and/or experience participating in the SAP University Alliance.
- Professional experience in the areas of supply chain management and/or business analytics, or academic experience engaging with external industry stakeholders in the areas of supply chain management and business analytics
