Job Description:
The Director of Student Affairs has three primary functions. First, the Director represents the College of Health Professions (both on- and off-campus) to high school students, parents, secondary school counselors, and other individuals or organizations to inform students about health care careers education. Second, the Director of Student Affairs assists the Senior Associate Dean in resolving violations of College of Health Professions Policy 3.01: Student Conduct Policy. Third, the Director of Student Affairs works with other NDSU academic units and Tri-College personnel to promote College of Health Professions programs to current Tri-College and NDSU students who are undecided on their major.

*Develop and provide information and communication to prospective students on the undergraduate, professional, and graduate programs in pharmacy, nursing, medical laboratory science, radiologic sciences, respiratory care, and health services
*Manage dissemination of information to inform North Dakota and local area Minnesota senior high schools of College programs available to them and their students
*Develop age/grade appropriate curricula in regard to health careers and healthy initiatives offered through, or related to, academic programs housed in the College of Health Professions
*Develop an annual recruitment plan for pharmacy, nursing, allied sciences, and health services programs
*Collaborate with University Relations and College departments to design materials to market College programs
*Work collaboratively with the Office of Admission to coordinate recruitment efforts including participation, coordination, and staffing of Discover NDSU and Saturday Series events
*Meet with students who are alleged to be responsible for minor violations of College Policy
*Advise the College of Health Professions Ambassadors and the Native American Professional Programs (NAPP) student organizations
*Develop and serve as the lead instructor for one course within your expertise

Work Schedule:
40 hours/wk: M-F, 8-5 or 7:30-4 pm.  January - December

Advertised Salary:
$60,000+/year - commensurate with experience

Minimum Qualifications:
*Master’s degree from an accredited institution
*Teaching experience, classroom management, student engagement, student recruiting, community outreach, and program development.
*1+ yrs experience working in high paced, diverse, and technology driven, 21st century office skills
*Fluency in MS Office suite; presentation media; email and instant messenger platforms; internet; and electronic calendaring systems.
*Appropriate interpersonal/oral/written communication skills including diplomacy required for working with a diverse population.
*Ability to handle complex and confidential information with discretion.
*Detailed oriented; ability to coordinate projects with various departments

Preferred Qualifications:
*Experience in Educational Leadership, Adult Education, Higher Education, Student Affairs
*Experience working with college students in a campus environment, specifically related to recruitment or admissions 
*Ability to anticipate needs and work proactively
*Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks and projects in parallel.
*Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
